Customer Management

Here is what it is all about….In life, you wouldn't go to a bank and open up a bank account and expect you to withdraw $5000 when you haven’t even any to put any money in, right? It doesn't make sense and you wouldn't do it. And the same goes with your relationship building and your customers.  Don't expect to go withdraw a bunch of money from them and have them buy products from you when you haven’t put in the time and effort to get to know them and build a relationship with them.

 

And I know sometimes you get frustrated because this takes forever, I don't want to do all this follow up stuff, I don't want to, I don't want to, I don't want to. To that, I would say you need to if you want to grow really great successful business that runs on itself later on. And sometimes you're going to do follow up and they're going to immediately buy or immediately book a show or whatever it is you're trying to get them to do and that's awesome and I know that happens. And sometimes you have to work out a little bit and then 4, 5, or 6 personal e-mails and then they'll become your lifelong customer forever.  Sometimes you need to go that extra mile and do something really surprising for them.  That is what customer management is all about!

When you take the time and go that extra step on customer management, you will have a lifelong customer that is going to be your advocate and going to talk about to all of their friends and that's what you want and that's where the big business starts coming in.  That lifelong customer is now creating you referrals and those are the people that just come to you out of the blue with no extra outside marketing or anything. So make sure you put in your ROR; OK? And really focus on building relationships with your customers and you're going to see that return on relationship coming back to you time and time again.
